Eyesight Optometrist is seeking an experienced Senior Dispenser who wants to move into a Managerial role to join our team in Gledswood Hills NSW 2557. We are a boutique store who knows and supports our local community; we have dedicated staff who are thrive on personalised service and are passionate about eye health. This is a position that is open to full time and part time applicants - it offers an opportunity to lead our optical dispensing operations and deliver exceptional customer service within our practice. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our dispensary, maintaining high standards of patient care, and be self-motivated to widen our reach in the local community. Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the optical dispensary, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
- Maximising productivity and be self-motivated in upskilling about eye health and optical related dispensary
- Provide professional optical advice to patients regarding lens options, frames, and eyewear solutions
- Maintain inventory control and ordering of optical frames, lenses and dispensing materials
- Ensure compliance with optical industry regulations and health and safety standards
- Undertake quality control checks on dispensed eyewear to ensure accuracy and patient satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong patient relationships to ensure repeat business and positive referrals
- Contribute to the achievement of practice sales targets and key performance indicators
- Support the optometrist with technical information and patient liaison as required What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications in optical dispensing or equivalent professional experience as a Senior Dispenser or Optical Manager
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in optical dispensing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or senior role
- Strong knowledge of spectacle and contact lens fitting, frame selection, and optical principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- Passionate about small businesses
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
- A commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with optical industry developments
- Experience in independent optical practices is highly desirable
