About the role
KWCP is seeking multiple trade and supervisory positions to support key conveyor maintenance programs, major shutdown campaigns and ongoing fixed plant works across Western Australia. Positions include Statutory Supervisors (S26 / Appointed), Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers, Riggers, Conveyor Technicians, and Advanced Trade Assistants.

Key responsibilities
Statutory Supervisor (S26 / Appointed):
- Provide legal and operational oversight for multi-disciplinary SMP teams
- Manage workplace safety, permit-to-work systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, Critical Lifts)
- Manage LOTO/Isolation protocols, job execution and trade competency verification across conveyor systems, drives, Crushers, Sizers and Structural repairs Mechanical Fitters (Level 1, Level 2 & Senior):
- Perform roller and frame changeouts, pulley replacements, drive system rebuilds
- Perform precision laser alignment on Crushers and various other equipment
- Execute shutdown isolations (LOTO) Boilermakers (Mining Conveyor Systems):
- Maintain and repair conveyor structures, chutes and guards, Crushers and various other equipment
- Perform field welding, structural defect repairs and custom fabrication from field drawings Riggers (Basic & Intermediate):
- Plan and execute lifting operations for heavy mechanical components (>500 kg), including gearboxes, motors, pulleys, and structural components Conveyor Technicians (Entry, Intermediate & Senior):
- Execute roller/idler replacements, primary/secondary scraper adjustments
- Perform belt cleaning maintenance,



defect reporting and belt tracking support Advanced Trade Assistants:
- Support mechanical fitters, boilermakers and riggers during shutdown campaigns
- Independently perform carrying/return roller replacements and routine conveyor inspections About you
- Valid Construction White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights certification (valid/current)
- Confined Space Entry certification (valid/current)
- Proven experience working safely in shutdown and live mining/bulk materials handling environments
- Unwavering commitment to safety management systems, LOTO protocols and hazard reporting
- Statutory Supervisor: Relevant Statutory Supervisor Qualification / S26 Appointment eligibility, proven leadership experience managing SMP multi-trade teams on fixed plant/conveyors, strong knowledge of WA Mines Safety legislation, valid Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and senior isolation credentials
- Mechanical Fitters: Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade), White Card, Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, and Confined Space Entry
- Boilermakers: Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade), White Card, Driver's Licence, Working at Heights,



Confined Space Entry and current welding qualifications
- Riggers: High Risk Work Licence (RB or RI minimum), White Card, Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, and 3+ years mining/heavy industrial experience
- Conveyor Technicians: Certificate II/III in Conveyor or Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent experience), White Card, Driver's Licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry
- Advanced Trade Assistants: Minimum 2 years mining/industrial maintenance experience, White Card, Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and LOTO Awareness Benefits
