Healthcare Australia is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for a long-term locum opportunity with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service in beautiful Far North Queensland.
This position is based within the CCT North/Central Community Mental Health Service, providing adult mental health care in a community-based setting.

Working out of Cairns North, you’ll be supporting an established community mental health team, with the benefit of consistent weekday hours and no after-hours commitments.

- Location: Cairns, Queensland
- Health Service: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service
- Position: Staff Specialist – CCT North/Central (Community Reliever)
- Setting: Community-based Adult Mental Health Service

Working Hours





- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- No night shifts
- No on-call requirements
- No work required on public holidays

Christmas Coverage: The locum is required to work non-public holidays throughout the Christmas period, with public holidays off.
Travel & Accommodation The following expenses will be reimbursed for this placement:

- Return flights
- Accommodation
- Car hire

Requirements

- Specialist registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent specialist recognition
- Experience in General Adult Psychiatry
- Previous community mental health experience would be advantageous
