About the role
As our Supply Planner, you’ll ensure efficient and timely replenishment and inventory management of Modern Star’s products to meet customer demand and business goals. You’ll do this by collaborating closely with our suppliers and working cross-functionally alongside our Demand Planners within Modern Star. This role is based in either Brendale, QLD or Brookvale, NSW. What you’ll do
- Place current purchase orders to make sure the business can meet forecast demand.
- Work closely with our warehouse teams on stock flow management – inbound, outbound and storage.
- Coordinate supplier payments with our Finance team, as needed.
- Partner with our Category and Sales teams on new product launches and major events.
- Review open purchase orders and keep due dates up to date, so our Demand team has accurate data and the wider business and our customers have reliable in-stock dates.
- Work with freight forwarders to deliver cargo efficiently and cost-effectively to the right location.
- Monitor stock levels, spot risks of out-of-stocks or overstocks, and act proactively to optimise inventory holdings.
- Maintain supplier and item data in APS, ERP and other business tools to improve your planning accuracy.




- Produce and support reporting to help you collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and put your ideas forward. About you
- You have demonstrated experience in inventory planning.
- You’re a strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with others.
- You can manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- You have excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- You have a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- You embrace change as business requirements evolve.
