About the role
Builders Trading Cooperative is looking for a practical, reliable Truck Driver / Yard Assistant to join our team in Fyshwick. This is a local, daytime role combining crane truck deliveries to active trade sites across the ACT region with hands-on support in our Fyshwick timber and building supply yard.
Key responsibilities
- Perform safe, timely site deliveries of timber and building supplies across the ACT.
- Operate vehicle-mounted loading cranes (HIAB/CV) and forklifts for loading and unloading.
- Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and enforce strict load restraint standards.
- Receive, inspect, and dispatch incoming stock in the trade yard.
- Pick trade customer orders accurately against picking slips. About you
- Valid MR or HR Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
- Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) / HIAB licence (or proven crane truck experience).
- High-Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) and load restraint protocols.
- Experience in construction, building materials, or timber yard environment (highly regarded).
