About the Chance Xenco is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our consulting team and support project delivery at a Gold Operation in New South Wales. This is a major gold-producing operation. This opportunity will suit a senior project professional with a strong background in mining or heavy industry, capable of leading project activities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient and successful outcomes. The position is offered on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension, on a FIFO basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead project planning, execution and delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Manage project scope, cost control, forecasting, scheduling and progress reporting.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Oversee risk management, project governance, quality assurance and compliance with site safety requirements.




- Manage contractor performance, project changes, issues and delivery risks.
- Provide regular project updates and communicate progress, challenges and key decisions to stakeholders.
- Support commissioning, project close-out and handover activities as required. About You
- Extensive experience in senior project management roles within mining, resources or heavy industry.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex capital or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement and contract management.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractors in site-based environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and project governance.
