URPS is looking for an Urban Designer to join our growing Design team in Adelaide. You’ll work across a diverse range of urban design, master planning, public realm and place-based projects. You’ll collaborate with planners, engagement specialists and other designers to create places that are practical, meaningful and enduring. This role is initially offered as casual (flexible approx. 3-4 days per week), with the intention of transitioning to a permanent position.

About the role
You’ll contribute to projects in the early stages of development, working closely with planners and engagement specialists across the business. Our clients include government, private sector and community organisations. Your work may include:
- Urban design and master planning projects
- Precinct and structure planning
- Public realm and streetscape design
- Site analysis and design investigations
- Design frameworks and guidelines About you You enjoy turning ideas into compelling design outcomes, communicate well both visually and verbally, and want to keep building your skills in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will have:
- A portfolio that demonstrates design thinking, creativity and technical ability
- A Master of Architecture or similar postgraduate qualification with a strong urban design focus
- Approximately 2-4 years’ skilled experience in urban design, architecture, landscape or a related discipline




- Strong graphic communication and presentation skills
- Experience preparing high-quality plans, diagrams, reports and visual material
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and AutoCAD or Rhino
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with GIS, Lumion, Enscape, Grasshopper or similar tools would be highly regarded. Why URPS?
