Job Title: People Soft Finance Testing Analyst / Senior Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced People Soft Finance Testing Analyst to support testing activities for People Soft Financials applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional knowledge of finance modules, expertise in test planning and execution, and experience in validating end-to-end business processes across Finance systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents related to People Soft Finance.

- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data for Finance modules.

- Execute functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Validate end-to-end financial business processes and system integrations.

- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.

- Collaborate with Finance SMEs, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure quality deliverables.

- Support application upgrades, patches, enhancements, and production releases.

- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and test status updates.

- Participate in requirement walkthroughs and provide inputs for test strategy and coverage.

- Ensure testing compliance with organizational quality standards and processes.

Required Skills

- Robust experience in People Soft Financials Testing.





- Hands-on knowledge of one or more People Soft Finance modules:

- General Ledger (GL)

- Accounts Payable (AP)

- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Asset Management (AM)

- Cash Management (CM)

- Billing

- Procurement / Purchasing

- Expenses

- Experience in creating and executing test cases and defect management.

- Understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles.

- Experience with integration testing and end-to-end finance workflows.

- Familiarity with SQL for data validation and backend testing.

- Experience using ALM, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, or similar test management tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in People Soft Financials upgrades (PUM/Image updates).

- Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, or Tosca.

- Exposure to ERP testing methodologies and Agile/Scrum delivery models.

- Understanding of reporting tools and interfaces associated with People Soft Finance.

- Finance domain certifications or accounting background will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with global finance transformation projects.

- Knowledge of Oracle databases and People Tools.

- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and Dev Ops practices.
