About the role
… We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to the financial success of a dynamic hospitality business. As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate reporting to assist informed business decisions. What you’ll be doing:
- Process accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Prepare and process journals, accruals, and adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Liaise with department managers,



suppliers, and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Finance Team. About you… To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, or similar accounting role.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience with Sun, Purchase Plus, Zambion, accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Diploma of Accounting, or relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
