Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer (x4), Financial Services, Sydney Build a Snowflake platform from the ground up for one of Australia’s largest banks. We’re partnering with a leading financial services client to find four senior, hands-on Snowflake specialists. Together you’ll design, engineer and operationalise an enterprise-scale Snowflake platform for a Big 4 Australian bank. This isn’t a SQL, reporting or ETL development role. We’re looking for platform engineers who have personally built, secured, automated and run Snowflake in large, regulated environments. What you’ll be doing
- Designing the platform foundations: account structure, environments and architecture
- Implementing governance, security and access controls that meet banking standards
- Automating deployments with CI/CD and infrastructure as code
- Setting up operational processes, monitoring, cost management and the support model
- Getting the platform ready for enterprise-scale data workloads What you’ll bring




- Proven experience building and operating Snowflake platforms in enterprise environments, ideally financial services or another regulated industry
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake administration: RBAC, network policies, data masking, resource monitors and cost governance
- Infrastructure as code and automation experience (e.g. Terraform, schemachange, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar)
- Cloud platform experience across AWS or Azure, including integration and security
- Ability to work with architects, security teams and stakeholders in a complex enterprise Nice to have: SnowPro Advanced certification (Architect or Administrator), and experience with dbt, data observability tools or migrations onto Snowflake.
