Node.js Developer – API Streaming & Integration Role: Node.js Developer – API Streaming & Integration

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with internal and external systems.
- Implement API streaming using Server-Sent Events (SSE), WebSockets or streaming HTTP responses.
- Develop real-time data streaming and event-driven integration solutions.
- Integrate third-party APIs, databases and microservices.
- Work with message brokers and event-driven platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or AWS services,



where required.
- Implement API authentication, authorisation, error handling, logging and monitoring.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, reliability and security.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests and support CI/CD deployments.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects and business stakeholders. Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Practical experience with API streaming, SSE, WebSockets or streaming responses.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, event loops, promises and streams.
- Experience with JSON, API authentication and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
