About the role
To safely and efficiently operate MC heavy vehicles on interstate and other allocated routes from the Adelaide base, ensuring freight is collected, transported and delivered in accordance with customer requirements, road transport laws, company procedures and applicable safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

- Complete interstate linehaul and other allocated freight movements as directed
- Collect, transport and deliver freight to the correct locations within scheduled timeframes, subject to protected and lawful driving limits
- Load, unload, restrain, check and handle freight as required and as authorised for the task
- Check freight, load condition, quantities and delivery details; report shortages, damage, discrepancies or delivery issues promptly
- Obtain and record proof of delivery and any required customer or site acknowledgements
- Communicate professionally with customers, depots, schedulers and operations staff regarding delays,



route issues or delivery changes
- Operate MC vehicles safely, defensively and in accordance with road rules, vehicle limits and company procedures
- Complete required pre-start, in-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure defects are reported promptly
- Comply with applicable Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements, including fatigue management, work and rest limits, and relevant mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
- Accurately complete and maintain required work diaries, electronic records, trip records and other journey documentation About you
- Current MC heavy vehicle driver licence and demonstrated ability to safely operate the assigned vehicle combination
- Experience in interstate, linehaul or long-distance freight transport is preferred
- Working knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint, vehicle inspections and transport documentation
- Good communication, time management, route planning and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently while maintaining contact with operations
- Willingness and ability to undertake required medicals, training and drug and alcohol testing
- Follow company work health and safety policies, procedures, site rules and safe work instructions
- Treat colleagues, customers, contractors and members of the public respectfully and professionally
