Position Details

Notre Dame Catholic Primary School is a double stream co-educational primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 with an approximate enrolment of 480 students. The school has a robust sense of community with an emphasis on pastoral care and acceptance of all cultural and social backgrounds and needs. The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.

We are seeking a Social Worker who will bring expertise, enthusiasm and innovation to the school. This is a part time ongoing position two days per week.

Selection Criteria

- Partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy





and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
- Liaise with outside community agencies and assist with referrals to agencies.
- Provide interventions regarding a wide range of social, school, family and emotional issues that may

impact on school engagement and learning.
- Conduct whole class workshops and staff professional learning where necessary and demonstrate strategies which teachers can employ in their classrooms.

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent.
