This is a full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1 2027.
A St Mary MacKillop College Teacher encourages each student to discover and develop their interests and talents to become the best they can be. Providing innovative and best practice teaching, students will grow and develop lifelong learning attributes.
Your role is to plan, organise and deliver educational programs, modelled within the Catholic Ethos, in a positive learning setting.
The Successful Applicant Will Have
- Current registration with Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA).
- Previous experience teaching ATAR English and/or English Literature is essential.
- A willingness to promote and support Catholic ethos as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community, along with the ability to demonstrate the completion, or working towards, Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School.
- Current Working with Children and National Police Checks.
- Has a strong knowledge of the ATAR English and/or ATAR English Literature curriculum, in addition to General and lower school English curriculum.
- Embeds critical and creative thinking strategies as part of their practice.
- Is familiar with upper-school marking and moderation processes.
- Is a collaborative, consultative team member with strong work ethic.
- Has familiarity with evidence-based strategies for improving student literacy outcomes.
- Has demonstrated competence in adopting a range of strategies with students of diverse abilities that enables them to grow and flourish.
- Is competent with the use of technology in the classroom, online strategies and digital process software.
