Overview of roleThe role of Project Manager at TACTIC is to provide the Workplace Services team overall leadership for all project management deliverables within a team of motivated construction management professionals, while assisting other divisions within the business to better improve their knowledge of Construction, ultimately providing our clients with an end-to-end service offering that leads the industry. The role will typically manage Projects ranging from $300k to $20m and look after anywhere from 2-3 projects at any given time, depending on complexity and value.

Purpose of role in businessThis role is responsible and accountable for the success of a project, measurable through time, cost and quality, once handed over from the Contracts Manager. In this role, you are pivotal to ensure the vision created leading up to handover is efficiently executed, with a strong consideration to client satisfaction and TACTIC’s Values.

Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesProject Planning - Understand design and methodology prior to project start, and review regularly, to proactively mitigate design clashes and potential issues which could result in a delay or additional costs.

- Maintain existing and establish new project targets and goals for a successful delivery phase.
- Ensure timelines are monitored and deadlines are met throughout all phases of the project.
- Let packages to vendors that provide value for money outcomes and positive relationships with vendors.




- Provide additional suggestions for cost efficiencies and improved construction methodologies.

Financial Management - Review and monitor project budgets.
- Adhere to target profit margins, and continually strive to improve profit margin through strategic procurement and strong financial management.
- Regularly report on project financials with accuracy
- Forecast project cashflow, both upstream and downstream, with precision
- Ensure on time payment is upheld for payments claims, both upstream and downstream

Quality & Safety Assurance - Establish clear Quality and Safety targets for your team to achieve prior, during, and post project.
- Conduct regular audits on all projects and ensure team is adhering to their own routine audits in accordance with the WH&S; and quality management plans.
- Strive to have zero lost time incidents and accidents for all works onsite.
- Promote a protected and inclusive culture for all team members and workers.
- Promote positive changes to TACTIC’s Quality and Safety standards and policies.

Communication & Collaboration - Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Ensure you and your team maintain effective and timely communication with project stakeholders.




- Provide thorough and action driven meeting minutes to all necessary project stakeholders.
- Embody TACTIC’s end-to-end business model and collaborate with all TACTIC staff in and out of the office.

Team Leadership - Lead your team of delivery professionals to strive for excellence and promote continuous improvement.
- Undertake regular checks with your team to ensure they are motivated, appreciated, and culturally compensated.
- Provide regular updates to your manager on the progress of your reports.

Business Operations - Attend business meetings to discuss pipeline, improvements, and strategies when requested.
- Assist management with winning opportunities, via new and/ or returning clients.
- Ensure accurate project management on all projects is continuously upheld for business reporting.

Key Deliverables- Manage all projects from handover to practical completion in an efficient and proactive manner.
- Control all project financials ensuring all information is accurate, consist, and regularly updated and monitored.
- Regularly audit and report on all project statistics, including but not limited to financials, health and safety, quality, progress, and defects
- Ensure all projects are enabled for success, by effectively planning and executing all project deliverables to our clients’ expectations and TACTIC’s standards.
- Promote a safe working environment that is continuously improving.
- Mentor junior staff and assist with the onboarding of new staff.
