Civil Superintendent – Major Infrastructure Project | Northern Beaches Sydney, NSW | JV Alliance | Competitive Salary Package The Opportunity I am partnering with a multi-national contractor, who are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to join their NSW business, to work across major Civil Infrastructure Project. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in complex civil works, who thrives in a rapid-paced project environment and has a proven ability to lead site teams, subcontractors and construction activities. Working closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating site operations, driving productivity and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities across major civil infrastructure works, ensuring alignment with project programs, budgets and specifications.
- Lead and coordinate supervisors, subcontractors, direct labour and plant resources to achieve project milestones.
- Manage complex civil works including bulk earthworks, drainage, utilities, roadworks, structures and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays and implement practical solutions to maintain productivity.
- Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, project safety requirements and environmental standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project management and commercial teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Coordinate construction sequencing,
resource allocation and short-term planning to maximise project efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality assurance and subcontractor performance. About You:
- Demonstrated experience as a Civil Superintendent or Senior Supervisor on major civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical background in roadworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities or complex civil construction.
- Previous Sydney Water experience highly desirable
- Experience with high risk work and deep excavation

- Proven experience managing multiple work fronts, subcontractors and large site-based teams.
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, programming and resource management.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors will be highly regarded.
