MANAGER PRODUCTION NRG Gladstone Operating Services (NRGGOS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG Energy Inc; operates and maintains the 6 unit, 1680MW Gladstone Power Station, Queensland’s largest single power station. NRGGOS operates the Station in a safe, reliable, responsible and sustainable manner and we achieve this through the skills, knowledge, experience, innovation and drive of our people. An opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated leader to join our team as Manager Production. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable leader to take on a key operational role, providing strategic direction and leadership to the Production team while supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Gladstone Power Station.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager Production will be responsible for leading and managing multiple production operations teams, ensuring operational and environmental performance, safety, reliability and compliance with relevant standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities
will include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership and direction to the Production team.
- Achieving commercial and contractual outcomes for the business.
- Driving a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Managing plant performance, operational reliability and production targets.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and performance.
- Leading, developing and supporting employees to achieve team and business objectives.
- Managing operational risks and supporting effective decision-making.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to achieve site-wide operational outcomes. About You You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong understanding of power station operations, commercial arrangements and the ability to lead teams in a complex, safety-critical environment. You will demonstrate:




- Proven leadership and people management capability, including experience leading multiple operational teams.
- Strong operational and technical knowledge.

Requirements:

- Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical Gladstone is located on the coast six hours north of Brisbane and has a moderate tropical climate.
