Experience:
7+ Years ? Role: Technical Architect – F5 / Cyber Security Architect ? Must Have:
- Full working rights in Australia — No sponsorship available
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP platforms: iSeries, rSeries, VELOS and Viprion
- Expertise in F5 modules: LTM, DNS/GTM, ASM/AWAF, SSLO, CGNAT, AFM, PEM and BIG-IQ CM
- Strong networking knowledge: BGP, OSPF, STP, VLAN and LACP
- Experience with IPSec VPN design and implementation
- Proficiency in packet analysis using tcpdump and Wireshark
- Automation experience with Terraform, AS3 and iRules
- Knowledge of authentication services: TACACS+ and RADIUS ?
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and deliver F5-based network security and application delivery solutions
- Architect scalable, highly available DNS solutions, including caching, validating and authoritative DNS
- Implement security controls against DDoS attacks, WAF threats and DNS-based exploits
- Develop and maintain HLDs, LLDs, security design documents, SOPs and operational runbooks
- Design high-availability and failover solutions to ensure business continuity
- Troubleshoot and optimise F5 infrastructure across enterprise and ISP environments
- Lead large-scale migrations, including DNS, CGNAT and WAF deployments
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, platform and security teams
- Implement automation, security hardening, RBAC and compliance controls
- Engage with customers to define technical requirements and deliver professional services ?️ Valuable to Have:
- Monitoring and observability: SNMP, Syslog, Grafana and Prometheus
- Virtualisation technologies, including VMware
- Cloud platforms: AWS and Microsoft Azure
