## Senior Tax Accountant Genuine 4-Day Week

Salary:
$120,000
- $140,000 (depending on experience) + super FTE, pro rata for four days We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our boutique accounting and tax practice in Dulwich Hill, four days per week. And when we say four days, we mean it. This is not five days of work squeezed into four This is a genuine senior role. You’ll have your own clients, interesting tax work, direct client contact and plenty of autonomy. You’ll just do it across four days instead of five. The role You’ll manage a portfolio of clients from start to finish, working directly with business owners, families and individuals across their accounting, compliance and tax planning needs. Your work will include:
- Preparation and review of tax returns, BAS/IAS, and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals.
- Provide tailored tax advice, including CGT, FBT, Div 7A
- Tax planning and year-end client meetings, including strategic advisory, structuring, and business planning projects.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong and ongoing relationships.
- Managing your own jobs, workflows and deadlines
- Mentor and review the work of junior accountants.
- Contribute to the firm’s continued growth and client service excellence. About you We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ Australian public practice experience
- Strong knowledge of taxation law, financial reporting standards and client compliance management
- Experience managing your own portfolio of clients
- Confidence dealing directly with clients.
- Strong Xero experience, with HandiSoft and MYOB experience highly regarded
- CPA or CA qualified (or working toward)
- The ability to manage deadlines, workflows and multiple priorities without needing constant review.
- A practical communication style and the ability to explain tax without making it unnecessarily complicated
