Electrical Draftsperson – Automation & Industrial Electrical EEHA Automation Pty Ltd Are you an experienced Electrical Draftsperson with a passion for industrial electrical design, automation and producing high-quality technical drawings? EEHA Automation is seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsperson to join our growing team in Perth on a Full-time permanent basis, however can also be an initial 6-month contract, with scope for an extension or the opportunity to transition into a permanent, full-time position. Working alongside experienced Industrial Electricians and Control Systems Engineers, you will support the delivery of industrial electrical and automation projects across WA and Queensland. The Opportunity Working closely with Electrical Engineers, Control Systems Engineers and project teams, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation for industrial electrical and automation systems. From control panels and switchboards to electrical schematics, layouts and installation drawings, you will play an important role in translating engineering concepts into practical, compliant and buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Produce electrical design and drafting documentation for industrial electrical and automation projects
- Prepare and update:
- Electrical single line diagrams




- Control and electrical schematic diagrams
- Control panel and switchboard layouts
- MCC drawings and equipment layouts
- Cable schedules and termination drawings
- Instrumentation and field wiring diagrams
- Electrical installation and construction drawings
- Develop control panel wiring diagrams and electrical documentation for automation systems
- Incorporate manufacturer specifications, equipment data and engineering design requirements into drawings
- Work collaboratively with Electrical Engineers and Control Systems Engineers to develop practical design solutions
- Coordinate drawings with workshop, installation and site teams
- Update drawings following design changes, installation and commissioning
- Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and project documentation
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications About You
- Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in electrical drafting within industrial electrical, automation, manufacturing, mining or resources environments
- Strong hands-on experience using AutoCAD, with AutoCAD Electrical highly regarded
- Prior experience as a company's 1st Electrical Draftsperson
- Demonstrated experience producing detailed industrial electrical drawings and construction documentation




- Experience with electrical control panels, switchboards, MCCs and industrial electrical systems
- Understanding of industrial control systems, electrical schematics and wiring practices
- Familiarity with instrumentation, PLC control systems and industrial automation documentation
- Understanding of relevant Australian Standards and electrical installation practices
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality drawings
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Explicit communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, workshop personnel and site teams
