Role Description The Christmas Casual Retail Sales Assistant role is a casual, on-site position based in Paddington, Sydney, NSW. Day-to-day, this role involves greeting and assisting customers, providing styling advice, and delivering an exceptional in-store experience in line with the brand’s values.

Responsibilities include processing sales transactions, maintaining visual merchandising standards, replenishing stock, and keeping the store clean and organised. The role also includes handling customer inquiries,



managing fitting rooms, and supporting the team during peak trading periods throughout the Christmas season. Flexibility to work weekends, late trade, and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and customer experience skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
- Retail sales and general sales skills, including confidence in achieving sales targets and add-on selling.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers and team members.
- Previous experience in fashion retail or a customer-facing role is highly regarded.
- Interest in fashion and styling, with the ability to represent the HANSEN & GRETEL brand ethos in-store.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment during peak trading periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling, such as lifting and moving stock.
- Availability to work part-time hours over the Christmas period, including weekends and public holidays.
