Role overview
We are seeking an energetic, ambitious Business Development Executive (BDE) to accelerate our lead generation and venue acquisition across Australia. Working closely with senior sales management, you will focus on high-velocity outreach, qualifying leads, managing initial sales cycles, and presenting PaySafeGo's AML tech solutions. This role offers rapid career growth into senior sales for a high-performing professional with a passion for hospitality tech.
The role supports business growth across RedeemX Group by identifying potential customers, initiating business conversations and creating qualified opportunities.
The role initially focuses on PaySafeGo and supports RXM and CorX as priorities evolve. It emphasises direct early stage sales engagement and disciplined follow-through, not post-sale implementation or customer success management.
Key responsibilities
Prospect research & lead generation: Identify target organisations and decision-makers; build relevant, accurate prospect lists. Map local gaming sectors and hospitality precincts to build qualified lead lists of pubs, RSLs, and independent venues.
Cold calling & outreach: Initiate confident, natural and purposeful phone, email and introductory conversations; qualify interest and book meetings. Qualify inbound inquiries and venue referrals,
converting them into scheduled product demonstrations and discovery meetings.
LinkedIn engagement: Develop personalised professional connections and nurture relevant sales conversations.
Market Research & Onboarding Support: Monitor regional hospitality trends, state gaming regulations, and competitor movements across Australia.
Early-stage follow-up: Maintain respectful, timely contact with prospects who are not yet ready to make a decision.
CRM & pipeline coordination: Document outreach, track qualified leads, maintain next actions and support measurable pipeline reporting.
Marketing & industry events: Supports event campaigns, pre-event appointments, lead capture and prompt post-event prospect follow-up.
Initial sales meeting coordination: Arrange discovery calls and demonstrations; prepare prospect briefs and hand over converted opportunities.
GCC collaboration: Document repeatable processes and coordinate appropriate non-customer-facing support activities through the Global Capability Centre.
Performance & success measures Performance will be measured through quality of prospect engagement, qualified leads and meetings, follow-up completion, CRM accuracy, campaign/event execution, product learning and individual ownership of agreed KPIs.
Skills & personal attributes Fluent and approachable verbal communication, active listening, confidence in outbound outreach, clear writing, organisation, resilience, CRM and LinkedIn familiarity, product-learning ability, coachability and reliable follow-through.
Career development Structured training and performance reviews over the first 6-12 months. Depending on demonstrated capability, results and business needs, future pathways may include Senior Business Development Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager, Account Management or Customer Success Executive.
Role objective: Create qualified current-business opportunities and strengthen the sales pipeline
Candidate Qualifications & Experience
- Sales Experience: 2–3 years of outbound business development, inside sales, or venue account management experience (SaaS, RegTech, Payments, or Hospitality Tech background preferred).
- Industry Exposure: Working knowledge or experience within the Australian hospitality industry (pubs, clubs, venues, or gaming environments) is highly regarded.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone presence and confidence presenting to venue managers.
- Drive & Resilience: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, high energy, and the drive to consistently hit outbound activity targets and closed deal quotas.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with modern CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) and comfortable mastering RegTech software interfaces quickly.
- Travel Capability: Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit prospective venues in local metro areas.
