Sunnybank is an incorporated multi-generational church with a passion for helping people to love God, love people and follow Jesus. We are currently seeking a full-time or part time Pastor to lead the church to fulfil its mission and vision. The
Key Responsibilities
Of The Role Are To
• Cast and strategically implement the church’s vision and mission.
• Lead and train the ministry staff team.
• Teach and preach the Word of God.
• Guide, care for and shepherd the congregation.
• Equip and mobilise the church for effective discipleship and mission.
• Perform general pastoral duties (child dedications, baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.).
• Work closely with the board of Elders to ensure healthy alignment in church vision, mission, leadership and ministry direction. The successful applicant will be a person whose life reflects the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and whose character, leadership, and ministry demonstrate the qualities expected of church overseers (1 Timothy 3:1-7). The successful candidate will exhibit spiritual maturity, Christlike integrity, sound judgement, hospitable leadership,



and the ability to teach and disciple others faithfully. Additionally, We Look For a Person To Be
• Skilled in vision casting and strategic plan implementation.
• Able to effectively lead and build teams.
• Committed to the mission, vision, values, doctrine and direction of Sunnybank Church of Christ.
• Minimum of an undergraduate qualification in Ministry and/or Theology.
• Previous experience of fruitful pastoral ministry.
• Citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
• Ability to obtain a Queensland Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card), Safe Ministry Check (Board Level) and police check.
• Able to be endorsed as a ministering person with Churches of Christ in Queensland. Remuneration and other conditions are generally according to Churches of Christ in QLD employment guidelines.
