Mechanical Fitter – Industrial Pumps & Tanker Equipment Western Sydney | Day Shift | Contract / Temporary $62.50/hr + Super + Overtime + $30/day Travel Allowance About the Opportunity TRS Resourcing is recruiting qualified Mechanical Fitters for a well-established workshop in Sydney’s western suburbs. Our client specialises in the construction, servicing and maintenance of commercial tanks, bunded storage systems, tanker trailers and prime movers. This workshop-based role involves servicing, rebuilding, and commissioning industrial pumping equipment, as well as assembling new tanker trailers. You will join a dedicated day-shift team with a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, rebuild and commission industrial pumps and associated systems
- Assemble and install pneumatic airlines, fittings, mounts and mechanical components
- Complete precision mechanical fitting and assembly of tanker equipment
- Ensure work meets applicable industry standards and road transport requirements
- Conduct final inspections, adjustments and functional testing
- Read and interpret workshop drawings and technical documentation
- Communicate progress and resolve issues alongside the workshop team Skills & Requirements
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or an equivalent discipline
- Experience servicing,
rebuilding and commissioning industrial pumps and associated mechanical systems
- Sound understanding of mechanical standards and road transport requirements
- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own basic tools; specialist tools provided where required
- Current Australian working rights What’s on Offer
