Our client is seeking an experienced Japanese-speaking Factory Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and act as a key liaison between local and overseas stakeholders. This role offers a broad mix of operations leadership, procurement, supplier management, and team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day factory operations and drive process improvements
- Ensure production targets, budgets, and delivery schedules are achieved
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for greater efficiency
- Oversee procurement activities and supplier relationships
- Negotiate and manage supplier agreements and purchasing processes
- Work closely with overseas stakeholders and provide regular business reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance requirements, and local regulations
- Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams
- Foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience managing manufacturing, operations, or factory environments is highly regarded but not necessary
- Procurement experience
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
