About the role

Santa Catarina is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team in Sydney. This is a full-time and part time opportunity for talented culinary professionals who are passionate about creating exceptional dishes and delivering outstanding dining experiences. Whether you're joining us on a full-time or part-time basis, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the quality and reputation of our kitchen operations at our Sydney NSW 2000 location.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes, plating standards and kitchen protocols

- Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation throughout your shift

- Managing your assigned station efficiently and ensuring all ingredients are properly stored and organised

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service during busy periods

- Monitoring food quality and consistency whilst adapting to seasonal menu changes

- Assisting with food preparation, including chopping, marinating and portioning ingredients

- Following portion control guidelines and minimising food waste

- Maintaining cleanliness of cooking equipment and work areas to comply with health and safety regulations

- Contributing to a positive and supportive kitchen environment through teamwork and communication

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a qualified kitchen environment, ideally in a fast-paced hospitality setting

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and flavour profiles

- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, including allergen awareness

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards





- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent plating presentation

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen

- Flexibility with shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous

- Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and adapting to menu changes
