About the role

We are seeking a Skilled Barber to join our team at our Beeliar location on a part-time basis or Casual basis This role is central to delivering our signature barbering services and maintaining the reputation Sleek Styles has built for quality and attention to detail. As a Skilled Barber, you will be responsible for providing expert hair cutting, styling, and grooming services to our diverse clientele. This position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst contributing meaningfully to a thriving salon environment.

Key responsibilities

- Provide professional hair cutting, styling, and shaping services using a variety of traditional and contemporary barbering techniques

- Perform detailed beard grooming, trimming, and shaping services with precision and attention to client preferences

- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and professional workstation, adhering to all health and safety standards and regulations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and repeat business

- Consult with clients to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate styles and grooming solutions

- Keep abreast of current barbering trends and techniques to provide clients with contemporary and stylish options

- Maintain detailed records of client preferences and previous services to enhance future appointments

- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment,



supporting colleagues and the overall success of the salon

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Barber with a demonstrated portfolio of skilled work and satisfied clients

- Current or recently held relevant qualifications or certifications in barbering or hairdressing from a recognised institution

- Proficiency in traditional barbering techniques including scissor work, clipper work, and straight razor skills

- Strong knowledge of men's grooming trends, styles, and products

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen to client needs and translate them into quality results

- Impeccable personal hygiene and a professional appearance

- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards applicable to salon and barbering environments

- Ability to work flexibly within a part-time or Casual schedule and adapt to salon requirements

- Customer service orientation with a commitment to building lasting client relationships

- Experience with salon software systems or scheduling tools is advantageous
