Description

Use your people skills to make a real difference, supporting young people living with disability to build confidence and achieve meaningful employment.

your opportunity

Join yourtown’s Inclusive Employment Australia team and help young people living with disability build confidence, develop skills and move towards meaningful, sustainable employment. Every day brings new challenges, new opportunities and the chance to make a lasting impact.

As a Job Development Coach, you’ll coach, motivate and empower young people to achieve their employment goals.

No two days are the same. You might be running a Job Club, helping a young person prepare for an interview, connecting with local employers, celebrating a new job placement or supporting someone to overcome barriers to employment.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Coaching young people to build confidence, independence and work readiness
- Developing personalised employment goals and action plans
- Identifying barriers and finding practical solutions
- Connecting young people with employers and employment opportunities
- Supporting participants through applications, interviews and into employment
- Providing ongoing support to help achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Working towards meaningful KPIs and employment outcomes

what we are looking for

We believe a outstanding Job Coach can come from all kinds of backgrounds. You don’t need Employment Services experience. If you’ve worked in customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, recruitment or another people-focused role, you may already have the skills we’re looking for.

You’ll bring:

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for helping young people living with disability succeed

- Confidence communicating with young people, employers and community stakeholders
- A positive, resilient and solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Confidence working towards KPIs and outcomes
- Sound administration and digital skills
- Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Most importantly, you’ll believe in the potential of young people, celebrate their successes and be motivated by helping them build brighter futures through employment.
