About the Role
Work with an in-house product development team creating and maintaining software applications, microservices and APIs. You’ll contribute to products designed to perform reliably at scale, while helping the team deliver quality improvements through robust engineering practices. This is a hands-on senior role for an experienced back-end developer who enjoys solving technical problems and working collaboratively in Scrum. You’ll also provide guidance to junior developers and share clear recommendations that help the team make sound technical decisions. What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain microservices, applications and APIs using C# and .
NET.
- Work with the product manager, engineering lead and team to deliver sprint goals.
- Investigate technical challenges and present practical options and recommendations.
- Improve reliability and performance across services and data access.
- Write automated tests and support quality through code reviews and merge requests.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and secure development practices.
- Support continuous improvements to engineering tools and processes.




- Mentor junior developers and document designs, findings and decisions.

What You'll Need
(Essential)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a software product environment using Scrum and DevOps/SRE practices.
- Strong C# and .
NET experience developing microservices, components and APIs.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Redis and message queues such as RabbitMQ.
- Relational and non-relational database experience, including query optimisation.
- Automated testing experience, such as SpecFlow or equivalent.
- Experience with service interfaces and protocols such as REST, gRPC, AMQP, JSON, XML or Protobuf.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines, plus AWS and Windows and Linux environments. Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Orleans.
- Familiarity with Prometheus or Grafana. The Details

- Location and work arrangement: Milton, office-based 2 days a week
