A team you can turn to. Flexibility that makes room for life. At Lotus Assist, we’re looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner who brings curiosity, compassion and a commitment to understanding the person behind the behaviour. You’ll join an experienced, supportive team that shares ideas, makes space for questions and celebrates progress. We care deeply about our participants, and we bring that same care to the people working alongside us. ## A little about Lotus Assist We provide Behaviour Support, Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Plan Management, helping people with disability exercise choice, build on their strengths and access support that makes a meaningful difference in their lives. Our values of empowerment, hope, unity, wisdom, compassion and diversity guide how we work with participants, families and each other. We take time to listen, respect different perspectives and recognise that each person’s goals, experiences and needs are their own. Our Behaviour Support approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming. We look beyond behaviour to understand what someone is communicating, what they need and how their environment can better support them. Our focus is on quality of life, autonomy, connection and meaningful participation. We’re also a team that enjoys working together. We share knowledge, work through challenges and celebrate the wins, including the little ones that are actually quite big. ## Why join our team?
- Experienced people in your corner.
Work alongside knowledgeable, approachable colleagues who understand the work and are happy to share their expertise.
- Support to keep growing. Clinical guidance and supervision from our experienced Behaviour Support Lead, with space to ask questions, reflect and develop your practice.
- Flexibility that makes sense. Full-time, part-time, casual and contractor opportunities, with flexible work arrangements discussed around your needs and participant requirements.
- A clear focus on the participant. Build relationships and develop practical supports around the person’s needs, preferences and goals.
- Your ideas are welcome. Bring your experience, curiosity and perspective to a team that values collaboration.
- Room to be yourself. We take our work seriously, make room for a laugh and recognise that supporting our team helps us provide better support to participants. ## What you’ll be doing You’ll work alongside participants and their support networks to understand behaviour, identify unmet needs and develop strategies that make everyday life better. Your role will include:
- Completing functional behaviour assessments and developing individualised behaviour support plans.
- Listening to participants and working collaboratively with families, carers and other professionals.
- Providing practical guidance, education and training to support consistent implementation.
- Reviewing outcomes and adapting strategies as participants’ needs and goals change.
- Maintaining clear documentation and meeting relevant professional and NDIS requirements.
- Contributing your ideas and expertise while continuing to learn from the team around you. ## A little about you You’re thoughtful, collaborative and interested in what behaviour is communicating. You value participant rights, listen with an open mind and translate assessment findings into practical, achievable support. You’ll bring:
- Relevant qualifications and suitability to practise as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- A commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming practice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships.
- Sound professional judgement, clear documentation and a commitment to ethical practice.
- A willingness to share knowledge, seek guidance and keep learning. A sense of humour is very welcome, too. ## Good work starts with a good conversation Whether you’re ready for a new role, looking for greater flexibility or hoping to find a team where you feel supported and connected, we’d love to hear from you.
