Senior Restaurant Supervisor / Duty Manager Rice Boi | Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast QLD | Full-time or Permanent Part time opportunity About Rice Boi Rice Boi is one of the Sunshine Coast's most recognisable dining destinations, known for its vibrant atmosphere, high-energy service, and seriously valuable food. With a busy period ahead, we're looking for an experienced hospitality leader to join our existing management team and help keep things running smoothly during one of our busiest times of the year. This is an opportunity for someone who loves being on the floor, leading a team and making things happen. You'll work closely with the current management team, share responsibility for day-to-day operations and step up to take charge when needed. This isn't a traditional Manager role. We're looking for a capable, hands-on leader who can support the team, bring confidence to service and help drive a great guest experience without needing to be the person responsible for everything. The role Working alongside our existing management team, you'll help lead daily operations, support the team and ensure service runs seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
- Taking the lead during service and confidently stepping up when required.
- Leading, motivating and supporting front-of-house team members.
- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and guest experience.
- Helping manage floor operations, bookings, service flow and staffing.
- Assisting with training, coaching and developing team members.
- Helping resolve guest concerns and operational challenges as they arise.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to keep the venue running at its best during the busy season.

- Previous experience in a senior restaurant, supervisor or assistant management role.
- Experience in a busy, high-volume restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
- The confidence to take charge of a shift and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
- A hands-on approach and a willingness to lead from the floor.
- A strong understanding of service standards and what makes a great guest experience.
- Flexibility to work across a hospitality roster, including evenings and weekends.
