We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable support worker to assist a participant in Southport, QLD. We're looking for someone mature, gentle and understanding who can build trust gradually and provide calm, consistent support. Support Duties
- Light domestic assistance and basic cleaning
- Meal preparation
- Shopping and community outings
- Accompanying the participant on fishing trips
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence at the participant's own pace What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities or mental health conditions is essential
- Calm, patient and compassionate personality
- Comfortable with quiet environments and long periods of silence
- Ability to build trust and introduce activities gradually
- Reliable and committed to regular ongoing shifts
