## CAFÉ MANAGER / SUPERVISOR ## XS Espresso – Austral, NSW Full-Time | $75,000–$80,000 + Super ## BE PART OF SOMETHING NEW XS Espresso is coming to Austral, and we're looking for an experienced Café Manager / Supervisor to lead our opening team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new XS Espresso location from day one — helping build the team, establish the culture and create a café that becomes a favourite within the local community. At XS Espresso, we believe great cafés are built through great people. We're looking for someone who knows hospitality, enjoys leading a team and genuinely cares about creating great experiences for our guests. ## THE ROLE As Café Manager / Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the store while helping build a strong, positive and energetic team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the team during daily service
- Supporting the Café Manager and wider management team
- Maintaining high standards of coffee, food, service and presentation
- Training, coaching and developing team members
- Helping recruit and build the new Austral team
- Creating a positive, energetic and supportive workplace
- Ensuring the café is clean, organised and ready for every service
- Managing daily opening and closing procedures
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering and wastage
- Helping control labour and operational costs
- Maintaining food safety, workplace safety and company standards
- Building relationships with regular guests and the local community
- Leading from the front and being hands-on during busy periods
- Identifying opportunities to improve the business and team performance ## WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who is confident, energetic and genuinely enjoys hospitality.



You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Café Manager, Supervisor or Senior Café Team Member
- Robust knowledge of café operations
- Experience leading and developing a team
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong understanding of customer service and hospitality
- The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
- A genuine passion for creating great guest experiences Most importantly, attitude matters.
