We brought skin cancer medicine, walk-in GP care, specialists, allied health and vascular diagnostics to a community that was once told to drive to the city for all of it. We’re expanding our visiting specialist roster and are looking for consultant physicians in neurology, respiratory and sleep medicine, medical oncology and endocrinology to run regular sessions with us. Now we’re doing it again, and we want the best in the business beside us. Neurology. Respiratory and sleep medicine. Medical oncology. Endocrinology. Four specialties, one of the oldest populations in Queensland, a DPA catchment stretching from Bribie through Ningi, Sandstone Point, Beachmere and Caboolture, and not one resident specialist in any of these fields. The referrals are already there. They’re just driving past you to Brisbane. Here’s why it works. Our patients currently travel to Caboolture, Redcliffe, North Lakes or Brisbane for care they’d much rather receive on the island, and our GP team of more than ten doctors refers a steady, well-worked-up stream of exactly the presentations you want to see: dementia, movement disorders and headache; COPD, asthma and sleep-disordered breathing; cancer follow-up and survivorship; diabetes, thyroid and osteoporosis.



A single session a fortnight fills quickly, and most of our current visiting specialists have moved to weekly. You’ll consult from fully equipped rooms in a modern, AGPAL-accredited practice, with reception, booking, recall and billing handled by our team, nursing support on site, in-house spirometry, ECG, ABI and ambulatory BP, in office pathology collection and a GP team that communicates. Your sessions sit inside a working general practice and one chain of clinical governance: the referring GP is down the corridor, results and recalls run through one system, and the patient is looked after before and after they see you, not just during. The arrangement is sessional and uncomplicated: you bring your clinical expertise and your provider number, we provide the rooms, the patients and everything around them, on terms that reward you for building a clinic here. And then there’s the island. Sessions at TopDoctors are the kind of day you drive to with the windows down, consult with a view of the Passage, and finish with fish and chips at Bongaree. Several of our visiting specialists treat their Bribie day as the best day of their working week.
