Security Requirement: Must have or be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance About the Opportunity Hatchit Studios is seeking an experienced Lead Data Manager to support a major Federal Government client in strengthening enterprise data management, governance, analytics and reporting capabilities. This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Purview, data governance and data integration, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights. The successful candidate will lead data management initiatives, develop high-quality reporting solutions, establish data governance practices and collaborate with senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise data management, governance and reporting initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility and compliance.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations using Microsoft Power BI.
• Utilise Microsoft Purview to support data discovery, classification, information governance and compliance across Microsoft 365 environments.
• Analyse, integrate and validate complex datasets from multiple sources to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards and quality assurance processes.
• Identify and address data integrity, privacy, security and compliance risks.
• Establish reporting standards, performance measures and data models to support consistent business reporting.
• Collaborate with senior executives, technical teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.




• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to support team capability and continuous improvement.
• Prepare executive reports, recommendations and documentation to support strategic decision-making. Skills & Experience Required
• Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead data management, data governance or analytics role.
• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, reporting and visualisation.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Purview, including data classification, discovery, governance and information management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks, data quality management, metadata and information security.
• Experience integrating, cleansing and validating data from multiple systems and sources.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or other relevant programming languages for data collection, transformation and integration.
• Experience developing data management strategies, policies, procedures and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful business insights.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including stakeholder engagement, mentoring and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Previous experience working within Federal Government or other highly regulated environments (highly regarded). Why Apply?
