Our client is a national law firm with a robust Brisbane presence. They’re looking for a mid-level Associate to join their growing corporate practice. The team works with founders, investors and growth businesses, with a strong slant towards the technology sector. You’ll get real responsibility and run deals, not just support them. What you’ll be doing
• Running and supporting M&A; transactions from start to finish
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, constitutions and other governance documents
• Acting on capital raisings, investment rounds and restructures
• Preparing and negotiating commercial contracts, including services and supply arrangements
• Leading due diligence and coordinating deal workstreams
• Working directly with clients and giving practical, commercial advice as deals move along What you’ll bring
• Around 3–5 years’ PQE in corporate/commercial law, from private practice or in-house (they’re open on PQE for the right person)




• Solid experience with shareholder and corporate documents
• Sharp drafting skills and the confidence to manage a transaction
• An interest in tech, startups or the venture space (experience there is a bonus)
• A commercial mindset and a natural ability to build client relationships Why this role
