Myndshift Group has been engaged by our client partner, a respected mining contractor delivering a major gold operation in North Queensland.
About the Role
Located approximately 150km south-west of Townsville, the Mt Carlton Gold Mine forms part of the Charters Towers Goldfield, one of Australia's most established gold-producing regions.
We are seeking experienced Excavator Operators with hard rock open-cut mining experience to join the production team and support the safe and efficient movement of material across site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production excavators in a hard rock open-cut mining environment
- Safely and efficiently load haul trucks to meet production targets
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report defects
- Maintain production while working to site safety standards
- Work closely with supervisors and other production personnel
- Complete all required documentation accurately
About You
- Experience operating Hitachi EX1200, Liebherr R9150, or equivalent class excavators
- Demonstrated experience operating production excavators in hard rock open-cut mining
- Strong understanding of load and dump procedures
- Commitment to protected work practices and production efficiency
- Ability to work well within a high-performing production team
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
