About the role
This is a hands on role supporting estimating, scheduling, procurement and cost control across residential projects. You'll work closely with the Estimating & Scheduling Manager and construction team, with guidance and support to develop your skills. The developer led model means a streamlined product, repeatable designs and a focus on efficient delivery, without the day-to-day demands of retail client selections and variations.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing quantity take-offs and assisting with construction estimates and budgets.
- Preparing and maintaining material and trade schedules.
- Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Assisting with purchase orders, material call-ups and delivery coordination.
- Updating pricing, supplier information and estimating databases.
- Working with site teams to keep procurement aligned with construction programmes.
- Assisting with cost tracking and identifying discrepancies or potential savings.
- Helping improve estimating software, systems and workflows as the business grows.
About you
- Around two or more years' experience in residential estimating and scheduling, ideally within the WA building industry.
- Able to read plans and understand construction methods, quantities and sequencing.
- Strong attention to detail and confident working with numbers.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable using estimating software and Excel, with an interest in learning new systems.
- Keen to contribute ideas, embrace technology and find more effective ways of working.
