Our client is an established lender offering finance solutions to business and consumer customers. In this newly created role, you’ll lead their loan documentation, settlements and wholesale lending operations.

You’ll inherit experienced, committed teams with deep knowledge of their work. Your focus will be taking them to the next level: questioning why processes exist, removing what doesn’t add value, and making sure everything sits firmly within policy and risk appetite.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading, coaching and developing a tenured team with deep operational knowledge

- Overseeing loan documentation and pre-funding checks across wholesale, retail and commercial lending

- Managing the in-life wholesale portfolio, including repayments, insurance, security and exposure

- Overseeing the audit program to ensure audits are completed on time and findings are resolved.

- Driving process improvement and automation in partnership with the Credit & Operations Performance function

- Managing escalations and building robust relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

- Owning operational reporting, risk escalation and compliance with NCCP,



AML/CTF and privacy obligations

About you

- Minimum 5 years experience in loan documentation, settlements, credit operations or wholesale lending. Documentation experience is highly valued

- A genuine instinct for process improvement

- Sound understanding of credit risk and compliance, and the judgement to spot issues early

- Know when to escalate and when to simply get it done

- Proven people leader, or an emerging Team Leader ready to step up

- Ideally degree‑qualified in banking, finance, commerce, business, or related disciplines.

You won’t have done every part of this role before, and that’s fine. Potential and the right approach matter more than ticking every box.
