Linktal Recruitment
Docklands
No two shipments look the same in project logistics. The cargo is different, the solution is different, and the satisfaction of getting it right is unlike anything standard freight forwarding offers.
Now imagine owning the outcome from first enquiry through to completion with a dedicated project team behind you. The wins are sweeter, technical knowledge is shared, and you'll be in a growing team where your project logistics experience comes into play.
This is a newly created Project Manager role for a team you know in the market. Strong national foothold & project cargo capability across all major ports, and the commercial infrastructure to back up every solution you put in front of a client. You’ll act as a trusted member of their commercial team, with direct visibility to the directors.
If you’ve been doing project logistics and looking for the autonomy to make things happen and devise practical project cargo solutions, this is worth considering.
Why consider?
- $130k–$145k + super + bonus
- Hybrid - 2 days WFH and 3 days in office
- Full commercial ownership from enquiry through to completion
- Varied day-to-day, break-bulk, chartering, port operations, heavy lifts and more
- Solid national presence across all major Australian ports and capabilities
- A specialist team with genuine project cargo depth behind you
You will
- Own client engagement from initial enquiry through quotation, execution, and completion
- Develop end-to-end solutions across break-bulk, chartering, port interfaces, road transport, lifting, and storage
- Attend quayside, vessel, and project-site operations as required
- Manage variations, costs, and changing requirements while protecting margin
- Coordinate stakeholders, documentation, and escalation pathways throughout execution
- Coach and support less experienced team members in project and break-bulk operations
You have
- Demonstrated experience in project logistics, freight forwarding, or similar commercial and operational role
- Strong practical knowledge of break-bulk cargo, port and vessel operations, and transport interfaces
- Proven ability to prepare and manage competitive quotations, including pricing, margin, and cost control
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across customers, carriers, and suppliers
- Willingness to travel to ports, quaysides, and project sites as required
