Located on West Coast Highway in North Beach and overlooking the Indian Ocean, Salt & Oak is a neighbourhood café with an unbeatable coastal setting by day. Our focus is on great coffee, a relaxed breakfast and lunch offering, friendly service and creating the kind of place locals want to return to week after week. On Friday and Saturday, as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, our restaurant comes to life with a menu that blends fresh, contemporary plates with refined classics, designed to be enjoyed with friends, family and a glass of something exceptional.

We're open 7 days a week - Monday to Friday from 6am to 3pm for Breakfast and Lunch, and 6am until late on Friday and Saturday for Breakfast, Lunch, Drinks, Dinner and everything in between!

We're now looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant/Café Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys being on the floor. You'll know your regulars, lead from the front during busy services and create an workplace where both customers and team members feel welcome.

You'll be responsible for:

- Leading the day-to-day café operation and setting the standard for service

- Building a friendly, capable and engaged front-of-house team





- Managing rosters and wage costs in line with trade

- Driving consistency across coffee, food service and the overall customer experience

- Developing a strong base of regular customers and creating a genuine neighbourhood café feel

- Managing stock, ordering and day-to-day operational requirements

- Supporting our two weekly dinner services while keeping the daytime café at the heart of the business

- Working closely with the kitchen and broader management team to continually improve the venue

We're looking for someone who is commercially switched on but still loves hospitality. You might already be managing a successful café, or you could be a strong Assistant Manager or 2IC ready to take the next step.

You'll have autonomy over the day-to-day operation, backed by the wider team across marketing, finance and HR.

An unrestricted Approved Manager card is required for this position.
