About the role
You’ll be the face of the business, the first person customers speak to on the phone and at the front counter. You’ll work in our business system (Odoo) and Microsoft 365 every day, and we use AI tools to help with quoting and admin. You’ll start with hands-on training alongside our current coordinator.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and help customers find the right product for their vehicle
- Create quotes for retail customers and follow them up
- Book jobs and send booking reminder texts
- Take customer keys and check vehicles in
- Close off completed jobs and invoices
- Photograph jobs on completion
- General admin to keep the office running smoothly
About you
- Excellent customer service skills; friendly, patient and confident on the phone and face to face
- Enjoy sales and following through to get the job booked
- Organised and accurate with details
- Computer proficient and quick to learn new systems
- Experience with Odoo, Microsoft 365 or AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude is a bonus
- Knowledge of vehicles or the automotive industry is a big bonus, but not essential
About us
Melbourne Towbars & Trailer Centre is a busy, locally run business in Campbellfield. We fit towbars, wiring, roof racks, bullbars and other related accessories, both in our workshop and as mobile installs. We also run Ring Road Rentals, our trailer hire business. We’re a small, close team, and everyone’s work counts.
