About the Role

We are currently offering casual employment opportunities to Melbourne based university undergraduates as Installation Technicians. Installation Technicians are required for work predominantly in the Melbourne area with occasional work in regional locations.

The majority of work in this role is evening or night works, and can occur on weekends. Applicants must be committed to availability, insofar as it does not compromise their academic performance.

Successful applicants will receive on-the-job training, and all accreditation training for the high-risk licenses required for the role. You will participate in the DIABLO Undergraduate Program which provides training and experience to develop aspects of leadership and provides an invaluable competitive advantage for employment post-graduation.

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate with full support from management and teammates. In this role you will learn new skills whilst developing meaningful experiences in demanding, high pressure, time critical situations.

About You

To be considered for this role, candidates must be eligible to work in Australia, and must be able to meet the following essential criteria:

You are currently enrolled in a tertiary course which does not need to be related to construction, engineering or similar. We are simply looking for students who are dedicated, focused and responsible. You will have strong interpersonal skills with a mindset focused on excellence in customer service.

You must have at a minimum, a current automatic class driver’s license and have reliable transport. As this role is physically demanding you must be healthy, physically, and mentally fit.

Effective communication is essential, you must be able to follow instructions and processes at all times. You are 100% committed to ensuring work health and safety practices are understood and followed. Given the high standards for our teams to follow onsite processes and ensure the safety of all our people, it is essential that you can competently speak and understand the English language.
