About the role
The Executive Officer is the right hand to the partners and the operational centre of the firm. This is a step up from an executive assistant role. You'll manage the partners' time and correspondence, but the larger part of the job is keeping the firm's commitments on track across our funds, our portfolio companies and our client mandates.
You'll work in a hybrid capacity with the partners in Australia and New Zealand, you'll have access to our Adelaide office from April 2027. The role suits someone who is highly organised, discreet, commercially curious and comfortable acting on their own judgement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the partners' calendars, inboxes and priorities across Australian and NZ time zones
- Prepare meeting briefs and capture decisions and actions afterwards
- Draft correspondence and follow-ups for review
- Book travel and organise client meetings, events and hospitality
- Act as first point of contact for clients, portfolio CEOs and advisers
- Coordinate board and committee meetings, including the partners' external board commitments
- Collect monthly reporting from portfolio CEOs and follow up on actions and deadlines
- Prepare board papers, agendas and minutes, and track actions to completion
- Support acquisitions with document management and closing checklists
- Keep the firm's LinkedIn content schedule, and draft posts and announcements for the partners' approval
About you
- 5+ years as a senior executive assistant, executive officer, chief of staff or in an operations role, ideally supporting founders,
partners or senior executives
- Experience supporting more than one senior principal at once
- Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision
- Explicit, accurate written English and an eye for polished, professional documents
- Complete discretion with confidential and commercially sensitive information
- Proven ability to work proactively in a remote team, and the right to work in Australia
- Exposure to private equity, funds management, M&A; or corporate advisory
- Hands-on Xero experience, including reconciliations and BAS preparation
- Experience with board papers and minutes
- Recruitment and HR administration experience
