About the role
We’re building a core crew of experienced Piling Rig Operators to support major ground engineering projects across Perth and regional WA. You’ll be employed by Unite Resourcing and placed with leading piling and geotechnical contractors on infrastructure, commercial, residential and resources projects.
Projects include foundations for buildings, bridges, rail, roads, ports and industrial facilities, as well as ground improvement for major civil works. Work is a mix of metro day shift projects and regional or FIFO projects, depending on the job and your preference.
We have plenty of upcoming work lined up through 2026 and into 2027. We’re looking for operators who want steady, long-term work and to be part of a crew that moves from project to project together.

What you’ll be doing

- Operating piling rigs safely and productively across a range of techniques, including:
- bored piling (including large diameter)
- CFA (continuous flight auger)




- diaphragm wall (D-wall grab)
- CMCs (controlled modulus columns) and ground improvement
- mini piling

- Reading and working to piling drawings, set-out and pile schedules
- Monitoring depth, verticality, torque and concrete volumes to meet design and quality requirements
- Daily pre-start inspections, greasing and basic maintenance on the rig and tooling
- Setting up, packing down and mobilising the rig, including tooling and auger changes
- Working closely with piling supervisors, offsiders, crane crews and concrete crews to keep the job moving
- Following site safety, permit, exclusion zone and quality systems at all times
- Reporting any faults, hazards or incidents straight away

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience operating piling or geotechnical rigs. This is essential.
- Experience on one or more of: Bauer, Liebherr, Soilmec, Casagrande, Junttan, Fundex, IMT or similar
- Experience across bored, CFA, D-wall, CMC or mini piling. Multi-technique operators are highly regarded.
- A strong safety mindset and a positive understanding of ground conditions and rig stability
- Mechanical awareness and the ability to carry out basic maintenance
- White Card (Construction Induction)




- Relevant high-risk work licences (e.g. dogging, rigging or crane) or plant tickets (advantageous)
- HR or MR driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Full Australian working rights
- Willing to work on metro projects and travel to regional or FIFO sites when required
- A reliable, team-first attitude and good communication on site
