About the role

In this role, you'll contribute to a variety of essential maintenance, repair and construction projects, including but not limited to remote area housing maintenance, shop fit outs and refurbishments and civil construction works.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out general carpentry, construction, repairs and maintenance.

- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.

- Install doors, windows, frames, flooring, wall linings and other building components.

- Construct, repair and maintain timber and other building structures.

- Measure, cut and assemble materials accurately.

- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

- Identify and resolve practical construction issues on site.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.

- Work collaboratively with other trades, subcontractors and site personnel.

- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including remote site procedures.

About you

- Experience in carpentry maintenance, repair, or construction work.

- A passion for problem-solving and a commitment to quality.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset.

- A commitment to safety, quality and reliable work practices.

- The ability to work effectively in remote or rural settings,



including overnight stays as operationally required.

- Previous experience in regional, remote or isolated environments will be highly regarded.

- Current relevant licenses and certifications.
