HR Generalist | Full-time or Part-time | WFH

You'll help them understand their employer obligations and while building their knowledge, confidence and capability to lead their teams well - creating workplaces where people can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the trusted HR advisor for approximately 8 - 10 active clients at any one time, supporting them across the employee lifecycle with practical options that help them understand and manage workplace risks.

Your work will include:

- Providing practical HR advice to business owners and leaders
- Helping employers understand their workplace obligations and responsibilities
- Building leaders' confidence, knowledge and capability to lead their teams effectively
- Interpreting Up-to-date Awards, classifications and pay rates
- Managing employee relations and performance matters
- Drafting contracts,



policies, letters and HR documents
- Supporting onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
- Reviewing and improving HR processes and people practices
- Maintaining accurate client records and documenting advice provided
- Developing practical solutions that balance compliance with commercial realities

Alongside everyday advisory work, you'll support more complex matters when needed, including:

- Performance management
- Grievances and complaints
- Misconduct matters
- Workplace investigations
- Case management
- Restructures and organisational change
- Terminations and employee exits
- Workforce planning and organisational structure discussions

Who We're Looking For

You will have recent, demonstrated experience in a hands-on generalist HR role, with accountability across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.

You might currently be:

- A Senior HR Advisor looking for the next step in your career
- An HR Advisor in a small team who is already operating at a high level and wants more autonomy and variety
- An HR Business Partner who still enjoys being hands-on and involved in the detail
- A standalone HR Manager in a small or medium-sized business who enjoys the breadth of generalist HR




- A HR professional who thrives on variety and enjoys building trusted relationships with leaders.

You'll enjoy switching priorities throughout the week – from onboarding and policy development to employee relations, performance, compliance and organisational challenges.

You'll enjoy helping leaders build capability rather than simply solving problems for them. You'll know how to establish credibility, communicate confidently and provide practical advice that works in the real world.

How We Work

At Purple Playground, each team member manages their own portfolio of clients and becomes a trusted extension of their team.

You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients, building trusted relationships and supporting them through a wide range of people-related challenges and opportunities.

Because our clients rely on us for timely advice and support, availability and responsiveness during agreed working hours is an important part of the role.

Whether you're an early starter, need to work around school hours or simply prefer to structure your day differently, you can work your contracted hours between 7am and 7pm AEST. We just ask that everyone is available during our core hours of 9:30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, so our clients and team can rely on us being there. Part-time arrangements require a minimum of 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. You'll have the autonomy to manage your diary, prioritise your workload and plan your day in a way that supports our team, your clients and your own commitments.
