Professional Pump Services and Irrigation (PPS) is a privately owned and operated business that has been operating in its present location for over 20 years. PPS has built a solid reputation for its efficient service and reliable operation in many sectors including domestic, rural, agriculture, aquaculture, mining, municipal and industrial. We are currently seeking a self-driven individual, with good mechanical ability, that is a team player to join our company service division. You must be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and ability to travel for work. All necessary training will be provided to the successful applicant in this position.
Key responsibilities
Assisting and working alongside our experienced team of tradespeople
Carrying out inspections and identifying damage or maintenance requirements
Demonstrating initiative and taking responsibility for assigned tasks
Following workplace procedures and maintaining safe work practices
Keeping the workshop clean, organised and maintained to a high standard
Assisting with parts, equipment and deliveries
Performing tasks in confined spaces and working at heights when required
Supporting the team with general workshop and service-related duties
Maintaining a positive attitude and a willingness to develop new skills
About you
A current manual driver's licence – essential
Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach
A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Good organisational and time management skills
The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and move equipment
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Pride in delivering quality workmanship and attention to detail
Full training and ongoing support
The position may lead to an apprenticeship for the right candidate
