About Agnes

Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame. Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program—featuring a deep, evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits—complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

Agnes is on the lookout for a refined and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading front-of-house operations on the floor, maintaining high service standards and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all service periods.

Working closely with senior venue leadership, the Restaurant Manager plays a key role in supporting team performance, operational efficiency and overall venue standards. With a strong presence on the floor, you will lead by example throughout service while contributing to staff development, compliance, stock oversight and the ongoing refinement of service operations.

Key Responsibilities





- Oversee daily floor and beverage operations across service periods
- Lead and support front-of-house team performance during service
- Maintain smooth service flow and high operational standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of team members
- Assist with rostering, labour management and service coordination
- Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness and ambience standards
- Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally
- Support stock control, ordering and supplier management
- Ensure compliance with RSA, food safety and venue procedures
- Contribute to a positive, skilled and high-performing team culture

Skills & Experience

- Previous leadership experience within a premium hospitality venue
- Strong food, beverage and wine knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and operational awareness
- Understanding of labour, stock and service performance
- Passion for hospitality and exceptional guest experiences
- The ability to stay composed and make sound decisions under pressure
- Commitment to supporting the team in a cohesive and uplifting workplace
- WSET Certification is highly regarded
- RSA & Food safety Certificate required

Pay: $79,999.00 – $85,000.00 per year
