About Credit 365
Credit 365 is an Australian consumer credit provider (credit365.com.au) and an AI-first company: we use AI tools to take repetitive admin off our team's plate, so people can spend their time on judgement, customers and growing the business. We are building out our operations, compliance and governance as the business grows, and are hiring a Finance & Reporting Manager to make sure we meet every financial, tax and regulatory reporting obligation.
About the role
You will own Credit 365's finance function: accounting, tax, cash and reporting. You will make sure our numbers are accurate, our obligations are met on time, and our reporting is reliable and efficient.
What you'll do
- Own month-end close, the general ledger, reconciliations and management accounts.
- Manage tax compliance: GST and BAS, PAYG withholding, superannuation, payroll tax, FBT and income tax, working with external tax advisers.
- Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit.
- Support regulatory financial reporting for the credit licence (including the annual compliance certificate and financial requirements) with the Compliance Manager.
- Reconcile loan book, disbursements and repayments across banks and payment providers, and track arrears, provisions and write-offs.
- Manage cash flow, funding and banking relationships, and produce budgets and forecasts.
- Build monthly management reporting and KPIs for leadership (portfolio performance, collections, hardship and complaint metrics with Operations).
- Use AI tools to streamline routine finance work (reconciliations, reporting packs, data preparation), freeing time for analysis and decision support.
- Set up and maintain financial controls, policies and audit trails.
What you'll bring
- CA or CPA qualified.
- 5+ years in finance roles, including month-end, statutory reporting and tax compliance; experience at a lender, bank, fintech or financial services firm.
- Robust knowledge of Australian tax (GST, BAS, PAYG, super, payroll tax, income tax) and Australian Accounting Standards.
- Experience preparing for and managing external audits.
- Strong Excel and data skills; comfortable working with accounting systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite) and loan management data.
- Curious about technology: you use AI tools day to day and enjoy improving how work gets done.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer credit, loan book accounting and provisioning (AASB 9).
- Experience with regulatory financial reporting for an Australian Credit Licence holder.
- Experience automating reporting with SQL, Python or BI tools.
